What's the book about?
Determined to escape a 9 to 5 life, but equally determined not to do anything socially worthwhile, Andy Moseley took the only option available to him and packed his bags and left to travel the USA.

Starting in Washington and ending in San Francisco, via the most convoluted route he could find, he covered half of the States, most of Route 66, and a small corner of Canada too.

In one of the hottest summers on record he got caught in more storms than should have been possible, accidentally commmited three very petty crimes, and appeared on the set of a top TV sitcom as well as getting mistaken for both a serious art collector and a potential terrorist.

Around the States in 90 Days is the story of a journey through cities, one-horse towns and no-horse towns, and a lesson in how to see America with just two suitcases, a 1993 Road Map, and one girlfriend for company.

You do. That's good. The book is on Google Books, just click here to go to it, and read whatever they let you!

Read the preview and want to read on?

Much as we want to make sure people read books rather than just watch the telly or stare blankly at the wall, there is only so much that we can give away for nothing! If you want to read more please go to the Buy the Book page.

Trust us, if you liked the preview, you'll like the rest. If you loved the first part of the book, you'll love the rest. If you thought it was a bit naff, and that that nice Stephen Fry writes a better account of America, or you'd rather wait for Billy Connolly to bring out his TV tie-in book on Route 66  then that's okay too, but remember, you don't have their money or the backing of a TV channel, so if you're planning to see the States this book is probably far closer to what your trip will be like.
